Simply Giving®
program is available!
If you love the feeling of dropping your pledge into the
plate each Sunday, our new system of delivering your envelopes by mail is
perfect.
If you prefer, however, you can have your pledge
deposited to the church electronically through a program in cooperation with
our friends at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and administered by Vanco
Services, LLC. It is called Simply Giving.
Simply Giving means you never have to worry about whether
your offering check makes it out of the kitchen on Sunday. When you are on
vacation or away on business, Simply Giving keeps your pledge up to date while
you are gone. You’ll never wonder if you missed a Sunday or worry about making
it up, it happens a predictably as the rising of the sun.
Both our members and the church benefit with this program.
For those who choose to participate, automatically withdrawing the pledged or
specified amount from your bank account is truly giving the Biblical
"first-fruits." The program allows you to reach your annual stewardship goals
without having to play catch up. For the church, the advantages are consistent,
predictable income. This will help avoid the "summer slump".
All you need to do is complete the
enrollment form and turn it into the church office. We’ll take care of the
rest! You can change your donation in any way at any time simply by submitting
another form. You can get assistance and answers to questions by calling the
church office at 630-759-7636. |

Check out
"Daily Discipleship" - an online lectionary Bible study. The study
is designed for use with small groups as well as personal devotions.
Gather in groups of two to seven people and explore each Sunday's
lesson. Come prepared for worship. Or, meet after you have heard the
Sunday sermon to ponder the text. Reflect on the text with a spouse,
family member, friend or others. Meet, discuss, and explore how to
follow Christ daily. |
Please contact the Church Office if you are interested in joining these or any
of the other ongoing small group bible studies.

1 John 3:18
“My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true
love, which shows itself in action.” |
Are you ready to
listen, encourage, and show love to a friend? Then you should consider
joining the new small group ministry called Friends in Faith!
We are currently seeking volunteers to bring the caring presence of a
friend and God to a Christian companion.
There will be one training session in March, date to be determined.
This training session will outline the ministry and address how to
effectively encourage others during regular visits by attentively
listening.
If you are
interested in learning more, you can talk to a member of the Care Team:
Susan Brown, Kari Berkery, Marge Chyllo, Cheryl Deardorff, Dorothy
Dominiak, Jennifer Fredrick, Carol Ryl-Kuchar, Nancy Leiting or Norma
Sabine. |
