The Care Team is an expression of faith: a response to God’s call in Matthew 25: 35-40.
“I tell you whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine,
you did it for me.”

Food Pantry and Hunger Programs

Our church maintains a shopping cart in our narthex everyday to collect donations for the Dupage Township Food Pantry.  A special basket collection is taken around Thanksgiving and Easter to give many families a little something extra to be thankful for.  New Life responds to hunger and poverty around the world by sponsoring a team for the CROP Walk in October.  Everyone can be involved in some small or big way to make a difference.

Mary & Martha Meals

Members of our congregation provide meals to families who are experiencing hospitalization, prolonged illness or those suffering the loss of a loved one.  This group also provides and serves the food for funeral luncheons.  If you have a need or would like to be a provider of food, please contact the church office.

Tutoring Program

On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, from October through May, the church is buzzing with students from the community.  Students in 1st grade through 8th grade can receive help with assignments or review skills as they work one on one with an adult tutor.  Our congregation provides the tutors who have an impact on a child that may last a lifetime.  If you are interested in being a tutor or have a child that needs a tutor, please contact the church office.

  Blood Drive
We respond to the community’s need for blood donations by hosting several drives throughout the year.  Donors and people interested in helping at the event are always needed.  See the monthly newsletter or Sunday bulletins for upcoming dates.

Care Notes

On a kiosk in the narthex is an ever changing assortment of Care Notes.  These little booklets provide comfort and prayerful thoughts to a variety of difficult situations faced by adults, teens and children.  Stop by today to see what’s available.

Friends in Faith

Everyone is, at times, in need of a faith filled friend to listen, to encourage, and to visit with regularly.  Volunteers for this new program are lay people who extend the love of Christ from friend to friend through a ministry of listening, friendship and caring for others.  Stay tuned for the launch of this faith filled ministry in 2009!
